Alvin L Green, Sr.

Alvin was born on November 10th,1950, in Ocala FL to the late John Green (Monticello FL) and Julia Mallard (Blakley GA). At an early age Alvin Confessed his savior while attending New Mount Pilgram Baptist Church (Ocala, FL). Later, Alvin joined the US Navy a few years after high school (Howard High School Ocala FL 1968) in January 1969 until July 1974. Alvin went on to marry (Former Spouse) Valerie Green- Bradham) and have two children Alvin Green Jr. and the late Phaedra Green. Alvin went on to attend Florida State University where he earned his Masters degree in Social Work in 1983. Alvin also pledged Omega Psi Phi. Alvin later went on to pursue his Doctorate at Florida State University. Alvin was lover of all things from jazz & gospel music to travel, animals & all kinds of food. But most of all, Alvin was a people person and loved all people, especially family. 

He leaves to cherish his memory a son Alvin Green Jr (Maquita Green) (Tallahassee FL), Crystal Green (Tallahassee FL) Loving sister Queen Streeter (Ocala, FL). Host of grandchildren and great grand children and a host of nieces and nephews, & a special friend Mariah Leahmon (Ocala, FL) Alvin is proceeded in death by his brothers Frager Mallard (Ocala, FL) Willie James Mallard (Ocala, FL) and his daughter Phaedra Green (Ocala, FL )
