Carl Allen Johnson, Sr.

CARL ALLEN JOHNSON, SR., was born on July 3,1959, to James Johnson, Sr., and Allie Green. On Thursday, July 24, 2025, God called him home. Carl dedicated his life to hard work and service. He began his career at Ocala High Light, later worked at Petro Travel Center, and spent time at Lee’s Famous Recipe Chicken. He eventually retired after many years of faithful service
with Sam’s St. John. Carl was a devoted father. He leaves behind three children, the late Carl Allen Johnson, Jr., Carlnesha (Johntae) Killings, and Labrente Johnson. He was also a proud grandfather to four granddaughters: Layla Johnson, Nyomie Johnson, Navaeh Peña-Johnson, and Nyellie Peña-Johnson.

Carl is also survived by his sisters, Gloria (Glenn) Cook, Patricia Redmon, Diane Johnson, and Peggy Carter; brothers, Dennis (Tonya) Johnson, James (Peggy-Ann) Johnson, Tony Johnson, and Albert (Celestine) Johnson; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends .
