Born on October 15, 1937, in Bronson, FL, Clarence Jr. was the beloved son of Clarence Sr. and Hannah Crumpler. Though Clarence had a 5th-grade education, he was a man of extraordinary talents, gifted with the ability to accomplish anything he set his mind to.
Clarence was united in marriage to Earlene Welcome on August 16, 1955. Together, they built a life in Ocklawaha, FL, where Clarence spent the majority of his working years. He began as a Sharecropper, later working on the Railroad, and spent over 20 years as a laborer at Townley Manufacturing. After retiring, Clarence enjoyed the fruits of his labor and devoted time to the things that brought him joy.
Known for his love of fishing, Clarence found great joy in all aspects of the activity. Whether it was catching, cleaning, or frying fish, his passion for fishing was unmatched. He also had a wide range of other interests, including building, farming, mechanics, and surveying. There was no task too big or small for Clarence, who always found a way to make it his own and see it through to completion.
He was a faithful and active member of Clearwater Missionary Baptist Church, Clarence served with dedication as both a Deacon and Trustee.
