Darren Keith Harmon, Sr. was born on June 11, 1972 in Gainesville, Florida to the late Maxie Cunningham and the late Josephine Harmon.
Darren received his formal education from the Marion County Public School System where he was a graduate of North Marion High School, Class of 1991.
Darren married the love of his life, Chiquita White in 1995 and he has shared over 29 years of marriage with her. To this union, they were blessed with three children: Brittany, Darren, Jr. and Derrick, Sr.
Darren was employed by Emergency One (Rev) for 31 years where he worked in various positions, most recently as Crew Leader. One of Darren’s famous quotes to the crew at every crew meeting was, “Let’s all have a safe, blessed productive day!”
Darren loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his wife, children and the loves of his life, his grandchildren. In his spare time, he enjoyed hosting parties, cooking on the grill, riding his four wheeler and watching his favorite sports team, the Florida State Seminoles.
Darren received his Heavenly wings on January 1, 2025 at HCA Medical Center in Ocala, FL.

A Loving and Devoted Wife of 29 years: Chiquita Harmon; Children: Brittany Harmon (Tavaris Holsey), Darren Harmon, Jr. (Ciera Harmon), Derrick Harmon, Sr. and Dontrel Hampton (Allison Sewell); Grandchildren: Darren Harmon, III, Lauren Harmon, Derrick Harmon, III, Delilah Harmon and Ayla Hampton; Brothers: Charles Harmon, Sr. (Alfreda), Donald Barriner (Virginia), Rodney Harmon, Edward Barriner, Donny Cunningham and Ronnie Cunningham; Sisters: Mahalia Cannon, Maxine Cunningham, LaDonna Cunningham and Alice Cannon Green; Sister-in-law: Bernadette Jones; Aunt: Ida Wilson and a host of aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Friends.
Darren was preceded in death by his parents: Maxie Cunningham and Josephine Cunningham, Brothers: Roy Jones, Leonard Barriner, Ivory Leonard, Sr., Christopher Harmon, Sr. and Joann Barriner
