David E. Weaver, aged 65, passed away surrounded by family on April 3rd, 2024, at 2:12
am. He was born on January 22nd, 1959, to Gwendolyn Harrison and David Weaver, who
preceded him in death. David E. Weaver was a retired disabled veteran from the Navy and the
Federal Bureau of Prisons. He was deeply rooted in loving and supporting his family and also his
communities through his involvement in Meals on Wheels (Ocala, FL), serving as the
Commander at the VFW Post #7193 (Ocala, FL), and as a Mason brother at Post St. John's Lodge
#26, American Legion Post #1 (both located in Williamsport, PA). Additionally, he served as the
head Deacon at New Zion Missionary Baptist Church (Ocala, FL).
He is survived by his wife, Willie Mae Weaver, whom he married on January 5th, 1981,
in Freehold, NJ. Together, they have four children: Gwendolyn Weaver, Danielle Weaver,
Brionia Weaver, and Williemae Weaver. He is also survived by seven grandchildren: Davionia
Day, Jamiya Weaver, Israel Weaver, Abram Weaver, Noah Weaver, Tyton Weaver, and Jakub
Weaver, as well as one great-grandchild, Navona Barzey. David is also survived by five siblings:
Sharon Penn, Clarence Weaver, Rev. Dr. Jerome Weaver (Chantal Weaver), April Geans (Larry
Geans), and Shuntrell Surry. He is also survived by two aunts, Gail Weaver, and Mattie
Washington, and two uncles, Alvin Weaver, and Thomas Jackson. Additionally, he leaves behind
a host of in-laws, special relatives, and friends.
