Derick Kejuan Jones, born in Ocala, Florida, on March 25, 1979, was a dedicated truck driver for over 20 years, a profession he truly loved. He cherished his family deeply and always made time for those he cared about. A proud member of the RR Bailey Lodge #486 for over 10 years, he found joy in serving and helping others. He was a passionate Florida Gators fan, always cheering on
his team with pride. Whether it was game day or everyday life, his energy and enthusiasm were contagious. He was preceded in death by his father, Alexander Jones; grandmothers, Sara Simmons and Annieruth Jones; and grandfathers, Marvin Chisholm and Robert Feacher.
Derick’s legacy lives on through his children, Shantavia Brintley, Cierra Jones, Shaniya Jones, Corwin Jones, Cay’den Jones, Shadericka Jones, and Derrick Jones, Jr. He is lovingly remembered by his mother, Brenda Lissamore; sisters, Miranda Robinson and Jamie Robinson; brothers, Robert Jones, Alexander Jones, Sr., Alex Jones, Sr. (Shawn), and Deandre Robinson. He also leaves behind cherished stepchildren, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many dear friends who will forever hold his memory in their hearts. May his legacy of love, generosity, and Gator pride continue to inspire us all.
