He leaves to cherish his memory, two sons: Johnell Hampton-Bennett (Cynthia) of Orlando, FL and Greg Lester of Ocala, FL; one devoted daughter: Donna Whitaker Hawkins (Keith) of Ocala, FL; 30 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren; sister: Mary Alice Welch of Ocala, FL, Barbara Jean Johnson of South Carolina and Recoritha Hampton; one brother: Coffey Hampton; several adopted like daughters: Faith Whitaker Jenkins and Carmen Whitaker Belcher of Alachua County; a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, cousins, nephews, and sorrowing friends.
