Glendell Vanessa Wright The Early Years Glendell Wright was born on April 25, 1959, in Ocala, FL, to the late Sylvester Pierson and Laura Snow Pierson.
Education & Employment
She attended public school in Marion and Alachua counties. She graduated from Eastside High School in 1977. She served as a Paraprofessional and Mentor in several school districts for a total of 33 1/2 years where she inspired many students.
Marriage
She married her husband, Elder James Marvell Wright, in October of 2002, to whom she remained married until death. She served faithfully by his side in ministry.
Spiritual Work
Glendell accepted Christ at an early age at the Mt. Olive Baptist Church. She also served in ministry at the Churches of God by Faith as a church secretary, member of the praise and worship team, and church announcer. She was dutiful as the 1st lady for ten years, assisting the ministry in any capacity needed.
Legacy
She was preceded in death by her parents, the late Sylvester Pierson and Laura Snow Pierson; sisters, Vaughn Pierson and Charlotte Pierson Gaston; and brothers, Lester Pierson and Rick Pierson. She leaves to cherish her memories: her faithful husband, Elder James Marvell Wright of Belleview, FL; children, Chassidy Wilson- ermitus (Reginald), Brian R. Wilson, Ariel Wilson, Mila Wright, and special daughters, Kenya Hughes and Takia Stuckey; siblings, Constance Williams, Carolyn Croskey (Willie), and Brenda Wallace (Jasper); grandchildren, Alana, Brian Jr., Bri’nyah, Daven, Wessler ermitus, and Zyla; in-laws, Pastor Voncelia Amos (Homer), Hattie Asber (Henry), Alcaeus Wright (Gloria), and Eunice Murrell (David); and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
