Jennie was a cherished daughter, sister, and a faithful servant of God. Jennie was born in Santos, Florida, to Odessa and Walter Cunningham (both deceased) and was one of three children, joining her siblings Elizabeth Snelling (deceased) and Wilbert Cunningham (deceased).
Jennie was the devoted wife of the late David Styles, and together they shared many years of love and partnership. Her love for her family and her dedication to shaping young lives were unmatched. Jennie pursued her passion for education, earning a master’s degree in Education. She spent over 30 years as an honored teacher with the Marion County School Board, touching the lives of countless students and colleagues with her kindness, wisdom, and commitment to excellence.
As a lifelong Calvary Missionary Baptist Church member, Jennie served in many capacities, including as a Sunday School teacher, an usher board member, and always a servant. Her devotion to her faith and community extended to her work with the Second Bethlehem Baptist Association, where she was proud to train and mentor ushers around the state of Florida.
Jennie C. Styles was the matriarch of her family, the pillar of strength that held them together. She was an aunt, a mother, a grandmother, a neighbor, and a beloved “Auntie-Auntie.” She gave her heart and soul to her loved ones, and her legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering support will forever be remembered.
