Lashawn Denise Cox

Lashawn Denise Cox was born on November 27, 1963, to the late Tommie Sims, Jr. and Beatrice Sims. Lashawn was a beloved mother, daughter, sister and grandmother whose warmth, strength, and compassion touched the lives of everyone who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of love, dedication and service that will forever be cherished by her family and friends.

Professionally, Lashawn was a skilled phlebotomist and a dedicated employee. Her career took her to many places and her final dedicated service was with the VA.

Lashawn leaves to cherish her precious memories, her children Latonya Richardson, Timothy Munnerlyn, Jr., Devin Cox, and Shantrell Cox. Her devoted mother, Beatrice Sims. Her siblings Bridgette Sims, Dwayne Sims and Anthony McCloud. She was a proud and loving grandmother to eight grandchildren. The niece of six uncles and six aunts. Two special cousins, Machelle Grigler and Sharon Andrews. One Goddaughter and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was very much loved and will truly be missed.
