Patricia Preston Obituary

Patricia Preston completed her education in Jersey City, NJ.  She met and married Curtis Davis Jr, this union was blessed with four loving daughters.  In search for a better life, Patricia relocated to Ocala, Fl where she married Alfonia Preston.  She was a wonderful cook. She worked at Golden Hills Golf Club as a cook for many years.  She later worked in housekeeping at the Hampton Inn until her health declined causing her into an early retirement.  Patricia aka (Patsy/Cupcake) loved music and singing. She loved getting together with her siblings to sing and harmonize their favorite songs.  She was a God fearing woman who loved the Lord. Patricia was a wonderful mother who was always there offering support, wisdom, and love in abundance. My mother loved a good laugh, her famous words were “You tickle me and bless your heart.” My mother had style and wit. She had a great judge of character. She saw people for who they were and didn’t mind calling it like it “I-S”is. Maya Angelou said, “There is no greater, no stronger force for good on earth than a loving mother.” Our superwoman whose love will forever live in our hearts.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents Mary Fields Mosby and Cornelius Mosby, her husband Alfornia Preston, two sisters, two brothers, and one son in law.
She leaves to celebrate her life four daughters: Andrea Gabourel (Alfred-deceased), Kim Dixon (Jeff), Joslyn Davis, and Lynn Davis. She has three surviving siblings; Oscar Hipp, Robert Mosby, and Loretta Jones (Frank). She was blessed in her life to have a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and (1) great, great, grand daughter, nieces, nephews, and family that loved her deeply.
