Ricky Jones

Ricky Jones was born September 1, 1964, in Miami, Florida, to the late Cora Lee Montgomery. Ricky attended and graduated from the Citrus County School System. He joined and was baptized at Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church and served on the Usher Board and wherever he was needed around the church. Ricky loved his siblings, Joyce, Margie, and Michael. Never having  children of his own he nurtured his young nieces and nephews and attended to his faithful and devoted bedside companion Messiah. Ricky was a people person. He would join in anyone’s  conversation whether he knew what they were talking about or not. He loved the streets even just for a walk. On his walks, he would pick up stuff along the way, taking it to Amanda's backyard.
He loved to be the center of attention. All you had to say was, ‘get it Rick’ and he became the life of the party. His dance moves were inspired by whatever was in his ‘special cup. 

He peacefully departed this life, Friday, December 13, 2024. Ricky was preceded in death by his mother, Cora Lee Montgomery, and grandmother, Maggie Lee Montgomery. He leaves to cherish his memories: sisters, Joyce Shaw Davis (Sylvester) and Margie Shaw Norman (Thomas); brother Michael Montgomery; two aunts, Reverend Ernestine Porter and Lillie Mae Langston; one uncle, Monroe Leahmon, Sr.; nieces, Michelle, Kim, and Tommysena; nephews, Michael Jr., Shannon, Jereel and Keven; a host of great-nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.
