Rodney Edward Owen

Rodney Edward Owen, age 73, of Miami, FL passed away on Wednesday, November 20, 2024. He was born on May 15, 1951 in Ocala, FL to the Albee Edward Owen and Antoinette Crumpton Owen, both deceased. After his father left and his mother passed, he became the middle son to Clifford and LaRena Allen, both deceased. His brothers Albee Crumpton Owen(Susan) and Adrian Anthony Owen are deceased. His sister Sonia Battey (Earl/deceased) is also deceased. He is survived by his sister Dian Stevens (Roy/ deceased) and Wanda Hampton Wadkins (Edwin), nephews, Adrian Owen(Courtney), Kerry J. Hampton (Shonda), Corey Battey, Darren Battey (Myesha/ deceased/Erica/fiance’), Kevin Robinson-Owen, niece Dian Owen Klise and a host of other family members and friends.  Rodney worked over 40 years in the social services area with the state of Florida and Broward county. The family will receive friends Friday, December 6, 2 to 5 p.m. at Snow’s Funeral Ministry chapel, 5791 SE 23rd Lane, Ocala, FL 34480. A Celebration of Life service will be held December 7, 2024 at Mount Zion A.M.E. Church, 623 S Magnolia Ave, Ocala, FL 34471.
