Susan Elaine Cox Loadholt

The Early Years

Susan Elaine Cox was born on June 13, 1969 in Ocala, FL to the late Elder Thourman Cox, Jr. and Mary Daymon Cox.

Education & Employment

She attended public school in Ocala, FL and received her high school diploma from Forest High School in 1987 where she served as editor of her high school yearbook for two years.  She earned an Associates degree from Central Florida Community College while working in a clerical position at E-One Firetruck Manufacturers. She continued her education at the University of Florida and the University of South Florida pursuing a degree in Journalism while working as a graphic designer for a local medical company.   Susan was an avid reader who assisted many in earning their degrees with her expertise in language and editing.

Marriage

She married her best friend - Deacon Willie Loadholt, Jr. on her 40th birthday, June 13, 2009. Their marriage was the embodiment of the scripture I Corinthians 13:4-8 and an example to all.  Although Susan did not give birth to children of her own, she was an incredible parental figure to most of her nieces and nephews, affectionately known as their favorite aunt.

Spiritual Work

Susan was raised in holiness in The Church of God by Faith, Inc., and accepted Jesus Christ as her personal savior in her early twenties.  She continued to live a life committed to Christianity until her death.  She faithfully served her church from childhood throughout adulthood in various capacities to include church deaconess, singles ministry leader, lead vocalist, choir member (district, local and national), choir secretary (local and district), recording secretary, and graphic designer (local and district).  Despite chronic illness, she was a woman of unwavering faith whose dedication continues to amaze and inspire others.

Legacy

She was preceded in death by her parents, The late Elder Thourman Cox, Jr. and Mother Mary Daymon Cox, and sister Thournetta Cox.  She leaves to cherish her memories faithful husband Deacon Willie Loadholt, Jr. (Sun City Center, FL), children – Ashley Loadholt, Willie Loadholt III,  LaKeasha Loadholt-Alexander (Thomas), Willie Loadholt IV, and Elizabeth Loadholt, siblings – Dwayne Cox (Melody), Anthony Cox (Brenda), Keith Cox (Terrie), Malveria Cox-Carter (Robert), Elmer Cox (Tonya), Cedric Cox, and Jan Cox-Finley (Kharis); In-laws – Minnie Pearl Richard, Barbara Ann Kerson, Juanita Ann Armstrong (Moses),and Henrietta Loadholt, a host of grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
