Tamara Marquita Upshaw

Tamara Upshaw was born on October 22, 1983 to Sylvia Davidson and the late Wayne Upshaw, Sr. Tamara received her formal education from the Marion County Public School System where she was a graduate of Vanguard High School, Class of 2002. Tamara was employed by Central Florida Community Action Agency in Ocala, FL for over 5 1/2 years. Tamara loved serving and  assisting the people of Marion County in her position as a Family Development Specialist. Tamara also served on the Advisory Board for Howard Academy Community Center and Community With a Heart. In her spare time, Tamara loved being with her family and friends. She loved her children. She was very proud of their accomplishments and supported them in all of their endeavors. Tamara was called home to eternal rest on September 11, 2024. She was preceded in death by her Father: Wayne Upshaw, Sr., Grandson: Jewmaris’ Lee Jones, Jr. Maternal Grandfather: Roosevelt Davidson and Paternal Grandfather: Orion McCants, Sr. She leaves to cherish precious memories: Mother: Sylvia Davidson; Children: Jewmaris’ Jones, Jewmari’ Jones and Caryngton Evans; Siblings: Michael Williams, Kelvin Sanders, Le’tia Upshaw, Shaquana Upshaw, Beverly-Ann Upshaw, Jemel Daniels (Qua), Wayne Upshaw, Jr. (Anique), Favian Upshaw (Jasmine) and Shanterica Walls; Stepmother: Carol Upshaw; Grandparents: Elizabeth Davidson and Evangelist Shirley Greene (Pastor Robert Greene) and a host of Aunts, uncles, Niece, Nephews, Cousins, Numerous amount of friends and Co-workers. Tamara will truly be missed!
